I've had a Porsche Cayenne now for about 6 months and I still think it was the right decision. Great build quality, superb engine (and sound), excellent drive. They are also incredibly practical. Personally I think that in black with the larger wheels it looks fine.
Make sure you at least get...
Agree with the comments about 996 engine problems but most aren't that serious - RMS failure seems to be main issue and is a relatively straightforward fix. If you look at the Rennlist forums it does seem to be carrying over to the 997s. However the Porsche official warranty is excellent and...
Cayenne is a real marmite car - you either love it or hate it!
Yes you are right, cruise control is an option - even when you get the tiptronic.
I have the V6 but if cash could stretch I'd recommend the V8. Performance isn't really an issue for me as I got it for the space and to carry the...
I'd say go for the Cayenne but I guess I'm biased as I recently sold my C class and got myself a Cayenne in black. Best car I've ever had - I quite like the looks, the interior is superb and the engine sounds fantastic.
Make sure you go for one with the "right" options though and get one with...
Amazing, it must have been the connection. I disconnected the motor, cleaned the contacts, reconnected and it works. I didn't realize these connections were so sensitive.
Thanks for the help.

Hi All
My 2000 W202 has Xenons which include headlight wipers. The other day the nearside wiper developed a problem which means that when I use the screen/headlight wash with the headlights switched on the wiper sweeps up and stays in a vertical position. The other wiper still works fine and...

It's about time for me to change my C200. Because of all the kid's junk and numerous times when I need to shift lots of gear around I've been looking at getting a larger car.

I've been on this forum for a few years now and...
I have used them twice and they've come out to my office in Guildford.
No problems at all, good service and their prices are excellent compared to the usual tyre places.

Thanks again for all the feedback. I'll go and check over the car again. According to the option codes that Mercedes gave me, it's a full UK spec car with COC papers and VIN plate under windsheild. It's also the first car I've ever seen with the additional trunk locking mechanism (code 884)...
Hi
I've decided to upgrade from my C200 to a 2001 CLK320 and have found what looks like a great car. It's from Mercedes Direct so I have some protection should it all go pear shaped but before I take the plunge I checked it over and noticed a few things that I need advice on.
1. Is it...
