Whiteline kit is good quality but the harder bushes can be tricky to fit and can turn into a squeak fest. There won’t be much difference in the drop links but is it the bush on the arb that is gone or the drop link.

Check the hose that is passing over the crossmember near the central jacking point. I think that is the hp power steering line. Where it rubs on the crossmember it can wear and leak power steering fluid. You will only see it leak when someone is moving the steering for you. My 2010 A207 hose...

If it unplugged without the resistor in then it should give you a check engine light. If there is no light then it probably means the swirl flap motor system has been mapped out. No need for resistor then. Mine is mapped out and needs to be left unplugged as the motor failed to short circuit so...

I think that plugs into a water solenoid. You are looking for a black plastic thing with three or so small hoses going to it.

You are probably better with an old copy of WIS/EPC. It needs the same faff with a VM but the data is good. WIS is not the easiest to navigate but you get the hang of it. EPC is excellent. Only costs buttons too.

Would be worth checking the refrigerant gas pressure. Similar symptoms with my 2006 GL were cured by a gas recharge.
