Quick Question: OM642 Poly V-Belt (Serpentine belt) Maintenance Schedule Question

Hi, I realise that vehicles this engine is fitted to, such as 2006 onwards E320 CDI, have computer calculated service intervals. However, if anyone has WIS, please can you let me know what the stated change interval for the 'Poly V-Belt' (serpentine belt at the front of the engine) is? I...

Help with wiring diagram / intermittent rear lights problem on S211

With LED lamps the brake light and the tail light are the same things - the computer just varies the intensity of the light output. If you look at the 6 photos I posted the key is in the first two: they say that the right brake/tail lamp (i.e. LED board) has a problem. The other 4 messages...

Help with wiring diagram / intermittent rear lights problem on S211

Thanks - I hope so! Unfortunately thus far I've been unable to persuade anyone to come and engage in the fun task of fixing my car... I think I'll need to try harder! That said, I'm planning to dissemble and reassemble it all on Sunday (check all the connections, ground points, etc.) to see...

Help with wiring diagram / intermittent rear lights problem on S211

Hi, I currently have a problem with the rear lights going haywire on my 2003 S211. It has been going on since I acquired the car 1 year ago. It's very much an intermittent fault - when it occurs the main (outer) rear lights switch off and the backup lights (in the boot lid) come on instead. I...

    battery any recommendations

Just in case this info is of use to anyone, I bought the same battery as mentioned above (found here) for £92 (delivered) from AutoPoint (www.caraccessoriesandparts.co.uk). The battery I got is Varta brand, but it is exactly the same battery as the Bosch, but with a different label on it. It is...

    HOW TO: Change thermostat - OM648 (W/S211 320CDI)

I changed my 'stat with the help of this guide at the weekend. It immediately fixed my temperature and fuel economy issue. The only thing I would highlight is that you will need a Torx T40 socket. The guide mentions that you need a Torx set and I (wrongly) assumed that my set of Torx bits...

    W211 320CDI temperature (straight 6) & MPG

I replaced my thermostat on Saturday and it has cured the temperature and fuel economy problem I had. Changing the 'stat was easy thanks to the 'How To' guide by 'Corned'. My car engine water temperature now rises to around 90c as expected and stays there - previously it rarely went above 60c...

The rear seat squab in my 2003 E320 CDI Avantgarde Estate has been damaged and I am looking for a replacement. It has Palma Grey (light grey) leather trim. Does anyone know where I might source a second-hand replacement? Thanks.
