Yes, it can be done.
Instructions are in the handbook but I can't remember offhand exactly how to do it. It is done by pressing buttons on the centre consul somehow or other.
When I got my new ML with Xenons I was getting flashed repeatedly by oncoming cars.
It was a dealer job to adjust them which was done under warranty. They are seemingly adjusted by electric motors but the dealer adjustment solved the problem.
I have an ML fitted with Xenons.
When going to Europe I just adjusted them myself. Lift the bonnet, unclip the plastic cover on the rear of the headlight assembly and there is a small lever which can be adjusted up and down. On mine you just push it down and replace the plastic cover and...
When I showed an interest at the dealers about adding COMMAND to the spec of the ML I was surprised at how little they knew about it - i learned more about it reading posts and asking questions here!
It is MB that we are dealing with here!
From memory Video/TV was yet another option at around £750
Must admit though the sat nav system is superb - I have used it in Switzerland and France and it is excellent - I would not want to travel in Europe without it.
I have a 2004 ML with COMMAND.
What I had to do to get over this problem was to get a 6 stack CD Player fitted as an optional extra. Then your 6 CD's play from the player in the luggage area controlled by the COMMAND system and you leave your sat. nav disc in the COMMAND headunit all the...
Hi vg,
I have an ML 270 CDi which I got new in March 04.
It has now done 15,700 miles and had it's first service in July 05.
It did not require the pads or discs to be replaced and no mention was made by the dealer regarding wear to these parts either.
Queried the 22/23mpg that I am getting when I put the ML 270CD in for its first service and the reply was: "that's not unusual - fairly normal" :(
How do some folks manage 30mpg - I'll never know
Hi Ben,
I got a new ML 270CD in March 04 and my average fuel consumption since then is normally around 22 to 23 mpg. This is mostly about town driving.
The best I have ever had was 25.2 mpg which was on a long run to the Isle of Mull and back but this is the one and only time I have...
It is a portable system as far as I know - called 'Neverlost'
I will need to clarify the availability of it before booking as I have had conflicting information from Hertz about it - according to the Web Site it is availabe in Toronto Airport, according to an email I got from Hertz at Toronto...
I think so as I still have to fill in a Reservation Confirmation form the same as the pay it up front option - but I don't know it there are any guarantees though!
