    W205 Ordered Today

I'd be interested to hear your Airmatic experience too as my dealer informed me that it would not be an option on UK cars until 2015???

    Cellulose or 2k?

LOL. When I first started in the seventies there was an old guy there (actually a really old guy) who used to work on some of the commercials and he was an old style coach painter. Used synthetic (if I recall correctly) and always used brushes. He used to get a fantastic finish. Almost, but...

    Cellulose or 2k?

In that case, cancel my earlier comment. Be aware that any 2-pack paint will cause overspray that goes for miles and sticks like... well, you know what. Unless you plan on giving your neighbours free car polishing for the next few weeks stick to celly. And yes, it is dangeroous as it contains...

    Cellulose or 2k?

2k all the way. Easier to apply, longer lasting, better finish, and much easier to refinish if you need to spray it again later for any repairs. Cellulose would be like opting for points instead of electronic ignition. We were phasing it out when I first started spraying in '76!!

    Car Valuation Query

Yep, Spot on. I used to work as an insurance engineer many moons ago and this is pretty much all that you can do to estimate the value. However, why not just wait and see what the insurance company say. After all they may repair it. Or offer you a decent valuation. Failing that, if it is as...

    iPhone integration (again!)

Surely that's the benefit of a public forum. To help others avoid the same issues??

    iPhone integration (again!)

I also have a BlackBerry Curve 'work' phone as well as the iPhone for personal use so I guess it would be handy to have that connected as well. Does anyone know if the HFP and ViseeO are fully functional with the BB. Also, what would likely happen if I get in the car with both phones? It's not...

    iPhone integration (again!)

Haha, typical. I got rid of an HFP puck for the SAP one when I bought my Nokia!

    iPhone integration (again!)

Sorry to drag this up again guys. I've done a search but to be honest there is so much information it's a little confusing trying to distill the information that I'm after. I've just acquired a new iPhone 3G. I already have the SAP2 BT module which I understand won't work correctly with the...

Wifes had a slight mis hap in her ML

You may also find that the chrome piece only comes with the lower plastic valance. If you do source one, they are pretty straightforward to fit.

ive messed up big time help please

Unfortunately, I don't think that you will be able to polish this out sufficiently (depending on what you are prepared to accept as acceptable results). You will end up chasing the lacquer further and further back until you hit the basecoat and then it's game over. If you have masked quite a bit...

Has anyone got a BB 8310 working with a v2 SAP module? Company phone arriving soon.

    Mercedes roof box

Similar situation to me. I had an old Halfords (small) box and needed something bigger. It wouldn't fit on my MB aero bars either unless I bought or adapted the 'U' bolts etc. I was going to go for a Thule; slightly more expensive than an MB unit but more features. However, I checked the fitting...

    Mercedes roof box

If you have the aero style bars they have a wider profile than traditional square bars and 'U' bolts may not fit although you can get wider 'U' bolts mail order for a rip off price. The MB box has square headed bolts that slide into a channel on the bars. Again though you can buy (or make)...
