    Had another look today and everything looks ok apart from a bit of oil on the sensors , sprayed with contact cleaner but no good . Tomorrow I'm going to try and separate the boot sensor housings and swap them around , if the fault goes from right to left then I'll buy the new unit .

    Had a delve yesterday , disconnected the hoses either side of the unit , these contained filters which were a bit clogged with debris . Cleaned , replaced , reset fault code and went for a drive , the engine light didn't come on while driving but returned later when the car had been parked up a...

    So I had a look today and located the Mass Air Flow system got a pic off the net , two electrical connections left and right which I think are the Air Intake Sensors ? They look like they are integral and don't separate as I pulled one of the connections off . Anybody had any issues with this...

    Hi kianok thanks for the welcome , I thought I'd start a separate thread for the problem , common one I think . I bought a Foxwell fault scanner over Xmas to reset some faults on my other car (Z3) and blow me if the E Class didn't throw up an engine light warning . I've not got around to...
