You should have the modified one if it was made in 2005 but you can check it, As killerHERTZ says though, I think it would have gone bad a long time ago if it was a pre modified one

yes when you update it's on there all the time all the instructions are there to do it worked a treat on mine

As above if you have the eta on the bottom of your screen then you have the latest firmware
