Recently, my newly bought 2003 e320 gave me the 'service break. Visit workshop!' fault in white.
So I took it to the dealer for service. The fault code was c249f. With the description saying 'check operating time...'. And that is without any noticeable change in breaking power...
My 50,000 mile 2003 W211 E220CDi is due for a Service E in 5000 miles. The last two services have been done by independents. Does anyone know what work a Service E entails, and whether independents are able to carry it out? Will I be needing to sell the wife and kids into slavery to pay for it?
