Got wind of this at work as some of our staff have been targetted. Might catch one or two here out too. Some folk in *** have received emails purporting to come from HMRC telling them that they are entitled to a tax rebate. Well, they aint entitled. It’s a scam that leads to a bogus HMRC...

150% scam with all the hallmarks: Offering a car for a small % of its value The bid is now double the buy it now, yet the 'seller' is still offering at this price Saying contact me at XYZ email address - stating don't contact via ebay Brand new account holder I reported this...

Ive noticed more and more auctions which are quite obviously scammers,they always for something prestige or sporty, porsche,ferrari,mercedes,bmw etc ,they always have a note under the main heading,usualy something like "special buy it now £3800" which is always a fraction of the actual cars...

Hello all, one of my French mate has been contacted to buy his car and as usual the buyer wants to give more money etc...We have an e-mail address and mobile number (it rings). Does anybody know what else we can ask of the buyer that will help identifying him before reporting him to the police ?
