I have a CLK 320 elegance bought in the winter and of course now I want to use it with the roof down it packs up. At first it was the roll bar that wouldn't raise with the canvas...
I couldn't wait any longer and the weather this weekend helped me justify removing my pano. Gave the soft top a good clean and waterproof today and noticed that the tonneau cover sticks when putting the hood down.
I press the button, the windows drop, the rear of the soft top raises - I hear...
hi al altho ive cleaned shampooed and resealed the soft top on my clk 320 can i still give the soft -top a wash with mild detergent just to keep it clean or will i damage the reproofer :wallbash:
When my CLK 350 is parked outside in heavy rain it gets a build-up of, at least, a good tablespoon full of rain water "somewhere" in the front area (bow) of the soft top roof.
This does not drip into the car whilst it is stationery, but shows itself as a good deluge of water onto my passenger's...
I have an 1982 380SL over here in Hong Kong with the original soft top. However it is deteriorating quickly now and has too many splits and holes to think about repairing.
Does anyone know a good hood supplier or can advise of options of materials etc. - there seems quite a selection out...
