won't open

Hi, A few threads on the subject but hoping someone might spot something 'obvious' for me to investigate. The load cover rails are 'stuck' in the down / closed position and won't open / release when I open the boot. Tried so far: > Remove fuse > Check position of magnet sensor > Reset rails...
