I am picking my new S205 C300d on Tuesday.
I have just found this does not have 12v Socket, How am I suppose to power my Dashcam?

I am sure most of the people got dashcam in there cars , How are you powering it up is the Hardwire only option.
Someone was telling me Mercedes come with Dashcam which means it will record everything, I am guessing thats only in the new Mercedes..

Hmmm
Looks like I will have to hardwire it.
Does Mercedes dont have 12v socket anymore

My w205 estate has a 12V socket where the ash tray would have sat, (and one in the boot), I'm assuming if yours is new it was an option that was not ticked?

I don't have 12v socket at the front its replaced by USB where we can plug the phone for apple car play.

Anyone got write up or video, How to Hardwire the Nextbase Dash cam please..

I use a piggyback fuse holder (you can choose whether you use permanent live or ignition controlled fuse to piggyback) and a trailing female ciggy-type socket. The dashcam’s original plug connects to this. I have always found enough room to hide this joint behind the dashboard, and I route the wiring behind A pillar and headlining trim. It should tuck in between the trim and the screen without compromising A pillar airbag.

But then I hate to see loose cables.

Video on youtube, but beware, i could not piggy back the fuse it hit on another fuse.
