would 16'' alloy be ok on a 200 eclass w210 320 cdi be ok , the ones that asr on now are 18'' mercedes amg replicas and a little bit to hard a ride for me, i am hoping 16'' would be a better ride .

16" is the standard factory size rim so you will be fine. I run on these for most of the time. If its pot holes and ruts that are the cause for concern you will find that 16" rims wont make too much difference. I've never been impressed by my cars 'deportment' on local roads as compared to Jags or other heavy cars, it tends to make a lot of fuss on uneven roads with a fair amount of jiggling and twitching etc.

I have 18" AMG II replicas that i fit for summer use and whilst the ride is a bit firmer the reduced body roll from lower profile tyres tends to outweigh the negatives.

I used to have a w210 e200 and that felt nice when driving but now have 320 cdi with the 18'' wheels and it does not feel a comfortable ride , but that may just be me, I will by a set of cheapish 16'' and see what it feels like . Thanks for your reply

Maybe try a 17"? They ride ok on a large tyre. I just put 225 40 18s on the S4 (blasphemy around here?) and its not much fun!

Been there, done that. E320 18" PZeros,on AMG wheels, kept me poor and the ride was very "solid". I replaced all with original 16" alloys with Contis and the ride was significantly better, but doesn't look as good. It becomes a personal choice, looks or ride. 18" low profile sure look great.
