16" to 17" W124

Hi all,

I have a W124 230te with 16" alloys (CLK wheels I believe). I have the opportunity to buy a set of 17" AMG wheels (part number HWA1244010302 and I think ET42). Will these be a direct fit without any modification required? Also, my current tyres are 205/55/16 and will be going to 225 or 235/45/17. I'm guessing the ride will be a bit firmer but any idea by how much?

They`ll be straight fit and 225/45 is the right tyre

I have those on my estate. They ride a bit firmer than the 15s but not excessively. Go for it. If you want to see how they look on an estate then have a look at the "Made it to italy" thread in the driving incidents section.
