Hi guys,

I need some advice. I have never seen a set of 500E specific evo II alloys for sale before so no idea how much these go for.

How much would one pay for a set of four, all four needing refurbishment?

Thanks,

Unless you find the right buyer,i`ll be very difficult to get more than £300.Why not keep them for yourself?

If all they are worth is £300 for all four then I may as well hold on to them. I thought they were more valuable.

I've never really liked them tbh but I may just stick some winter tyres on them.

Thanks guys,

Are these the same size & dimensions to the ones that you see fitted to 190E's?....

Or are these 500E ones wider because of the E's wider arches?

I think these were also found on the R129 SL Mille Miglias.... Keen to find out if all of these vary in sizes or if only vary in partnumbers.... If that is the case, then your market place to sell these has grown that little bit more.

These are definitely wider than those fitted to the 190E. 8.25J I believe. Specific to the 500E.

The first car that had them was EVO2,hence they are called evo alloys. They are called Cengius and yes they are 8.25.As i`ve said ^ if the right buyer comes up,you`ll be able to get more, but i think they look very good on w124 :)

These 6-spoke 17" wheels are actually called "Ceginus", and original fitment ones would carry part no. 124 401 17 02. "Accessory" part nos. like B6 6 47 0061 also apply.

They are 8 1/4 J x 17 H2 ET34 and were used on:

190E Evo II
E500 Limited
R129 SL "Mille Miglia" edition

They should fit any R129 - my SL500 had them originally:

This will prove Jay`s post Mercedes 190E 2.5-16 EVO II + W124 E500 Alufelgen bei eBay.de: Felgen (endet 13.12.09 20:05:48 MEZ) That`s germany though and as i`ve said, you`ll need to find the right guy for more. When i was looking for a set,i would bee very happy to get a set for £500 in UK :)

My 500E at 120,000 miles......

I've been looking at getting my 500E painted and it's looking like it's going to be happening next month up near Chester.
I think the time has come to spend a bit on it so it's having new paint in the original two-tone green, replacement rear screen as many of the heating elements are u/s and it's beginning to delaminate at the edges, a rebuild for the driver seat as the sponge sections are getting a bit slack now compared to the front passenger seat and finally, refurb the leather.
I'm also thinking about a set of 'Limited' 8.25 x 17 wheels.
I just called up my local dealer and there are 25 wheels in Germany on the shelf but they're about £300 each +VAT....
I think maybe I'll check out a set to refurb on that count but what size tyres should be fitted to these wheels when on a 500E??

Any thoughts welcome...!

Thanks

Paul

Hi there Paul,I`ve 225-45s on my front but they should have 245-45s witch I have on my rear
Did you try Alloywheeldirect?

Hi there,

No, I haven't tried anyone yet except the agent - I guess it's going to be a project for April / May time...
Thanks for the pointer though, I'll check it out.

That's my car, showing the wheels on the Alloy Wheels Direct website :)

Does anyone know what the correct centre cap is for the Ceginus wheels on a 500E??

Thanks

Paul

I suspect they'd have had the boring plain silver (painted) caps originally.

As ^ the original ones were plain silver
