This car belongs to an 85 y.o. friend of mine who has asked me to post an ad for him. For sale is a S124 E280 Sportline Estate which he's owned since buying it in 2013 from a Club member's dad. The car's at his house in Maidenhead SL6. He's selling because he's driving less than he used to & at 5, has too many cars for a household of 2.
This car drives really well & presents well. When I was taking pictures I said to him that you could pull up anywhere in this thing & you wouldn't look out of place. It hasn't been valeted, detailed or polished & prepped within an inch of it's life for the photos. A hoover & a bucket & sponge did the job in an hour & a half.
I'll let the pictures do the talking. If you are interested PM me. This is a decent example of the increasingly rare, hewn from granite, lovely to drive 124 Series estate. However, bear in mind it is nearly 30 years old & is not perfect. That said, it is a real pleasure to drive & if you want a very decent S124 with the right spec as a starting point to do a mild rolling restoration with the aim of having a keeper you could do a lot worse than this one.
