1999 C240 Elegance problems

Hello,

I have a 1999 C240 Elegance, 'T' reg. It has done about 137,000 miles. Recently, to save money!, I got my car repaired with a local mechanic. I got the front discs and pads replaced and also engine oil and oil filter changed. Replaced discs are by Textar and pad are by Pagid. Oil he used was magnatec 5w20.

So after this service, the car seems to be vibrating/shaking when I go above 65 miles on the speedometer.

If there was a problem with the discs, I would be able to feel the break paddle pushing back when breaking. This is not happening. And also when breaking the car is not shaking.

Could it be the oil? Or is it something else?

Help is appreciated as I have the feeling that something may be getting damaged whilst driving.

Please help!...

Regards

Most probably not the brakes as they would do it when you braked as well. Check he has re-torqued your wheels correctly and located them on the hub properly.

Supacool1, Thanks for the reply.

When I noticed this first time I thought I needed the wheels balanced. I got all of them balanced and they put the wheels on properly.

The mechanic also drove the car up to 100 miles per hour. He also noticed that the car shook. So he is going to ask someone else why this could be happening.

Any more ideas?

Regards
gm
