For Sale – C32 AMG
Time to say goodbye to the car that I‘ve owned for the last 16 years…
If you are looking to buy one of these cars, I won’t prattle on about the performance etc… as you probably already know all about this.
What I will say is what I’ve done to the car while it’s been with me:
Mercedes C32 AMG: PH Carpool
If you look at the bottom of the article, I say my next car will be an Aston – well I finally did the man maths and a silver DB9 is on my driveway, but I can’t justify putting the AMG into storage…she has to go to a new home.
The Good:
W203 annoying secondary air pump fault | Engine
I replaced the air pump (which in truth, is a large hair dryer) and the relay, but the car still has the intermittent issue. As you can see from the date of the post (2019), this in no way affects how the car drives – otherwise I would have sorted it just like I did the corrosion etc… so I just chalked it up as a character quirk and reset the MIL when it pops on – which is randomly. And as you can see, this has never affected the car when it went for a MOT or service in the last six years!
As you can imagine, I have a ton of paperwork that will come with the car, and I’ve got the original COMMAND and BOSE amp that I can pass on to the new owner (if they want it).
I have a ton of pictures, including from the body shop when they did the wings, bumpers etc... and if you want to see them, drop me a message.
As you can see, the old girl is in fine fettle and not some bucket of rust, so I'm pricing her at:
£9,950
Any questions please get in touch.

What I will say is what I’ve done to the car while it’s been with me:
- Sagging roof lining replaced.
- Upgraded intercooler pump.
- All four wheels dipped and refurbished (they are still unmarked).
- Both rear wings and front drivers wing replaced due to corrosion.
- Boot lip, bonnet, front and rear bumpers and the passenger front wing re-sprayed due to stone chips and corrosion.
- COMMAND removed and replaced with an Alpine unit (WD997). This required fitting two new amps. A Nokia 6150 is included in the old phone dock, just for fun!
- Reversing camera fitted (integrated into the Alpine head unit).
- I contacted AMG and got the name of the person who built my engine. Ordered and fitted the name plate from AMG directly – so it’s real and not a copy from flea-bay.

The Good:
- 112,563 miles on the clock. That works out at around 4894 miles a year for a 2002 registered car.
- Two keys come with the car.
- AMG floor mats.
- Full-service history from Mercedes Benz Derby, Mercedes Benz Nottingham. A series of poor customer service issues led me to Mertrux in Derby and the car has been looked after by them for years. I highly recommended them.
- Plenty of life in the tyres and the AC works.
- All electric items work as they should: Memory seats, Climate works, sun roof, electric windows etc…all work without issue.
- MOT until September 2025.
- I’ll include a trickle charger for the car and I'll also include a black AMG Private Lounge baseball cap and window sticker.
- The service message for the “A” level service has popped up, triggered by time, not mileage. Once the car has a new owner, I will get the A service completed at Mertrux, so the new owner has a full two years before the next service.
- Drivers base heated seat element has stopped working.
- The car has a “character” in that the secondary air pump has an intermittent fault.
