Hi guys, the engine in my 2003 C230K has just started making a horrible fast ticking / knocking noise that lasts for a couple of minutes then slows down and goes away for about 5 minutes before starting again. It did it while i was driving down the motorway a few days ago. I could feel it shuddering through the steering wheel and seat. At first I thought one of the wheels was going to fall off the car as thats what it felt like - kind of scary! Anyway, when I got back I was checking to make sure all the wheels were tight and luckily I left the car idling on my drive and I heard the engine start making this noise, so I grabbed my phone to film it. Hopefully you can view the videos. Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated before I take it to the local garage.
