Car is now for sale. First things first, the reason its for sale is the engine appears to be burning more oil than it should be. Burning about 2 litres every 1000miles, so its basically double what MB allows. Doesn't seem to throw as much smoke out as you'd expect, but it is there, especially when cold. Not had it tested or anything, could be a simple heads job, could be worse.
Onto to the rest of the car. Its silver, registered September 2004. Its covered 102,700miles. 5 owners, 1 of them being the garage I got it from. Its got full Mercedes history for first 6 years, then last few years a mixture of normal garages and odd specialist. Since ive had the car in February its gone from 96k to 102k. Had it serviced in June at MSL who did an oil/filter change, air filter, all new breather pipes, and changed the spark plugs, and resealed the valve cover gaskets as they were seeping a bit. Full MOT history. Lots and lots of invoices for previous work and work carried out while ive had the car. auto box fluid was changed last year.
Appears to be a high spec model, from what I know of them which include:
-Bi-Xenon headlamps
-Parktronic
-Linguatronic
-Rear blind
-Rear airbags
-Auto climate control
-Command DVD based.
I have original invoice when the car was new with all the optional extra's on.
Mods ive done:
-Remap at MSL, made 307bhp and 325lbs/ft at wheels on dyno. 10bhp+ and 25lbs/ft over stock was told. Dyno sheet to prove.
-Secondary cats and silencer removed by Imran at torqueflow (sounds fanstasic and not too loud while cruising, no drone)
-LED front sidelights and LED rear plate lights
-Carbon gear knob with AMG emblem on top from the US
-CLK front grille, with MB flat bonnet badge
-Had a whole new front bumper as well as grills fitted, when a garage was fitting my new tyres damaged the bumper and it couldn't be repaired. Total cost to garages insurance was £1500, genuine MB parts from Germany. Looks brilliant.
-AMG centre wheel caps
Paid a friend to properly detail it, not a month ago. Paintwork is in good condition he said, clayed it and hardly any muck on it.
Wheels are in excellent condition, a tiny kerb mark on the passenger front one, that's it. Front tyres have a lot of tread left, there Michelin pilot super sports, rear tyres were fitted Friday there hankook's. Had new shocks fitted on front when I bought it, and the front brakes are almost new, rears a bit more worn but still plenty left.
Few bad points. Rear bumper has a few small marks from getting things out of the boot from previous owner. Trim in boot has seen better days as well. Few stone chips on roof. Nothing too bad and not bad at all for an 11 year old car.
