Need to replace timing chain tensioner, this is only very recent started to fail, noticed on periodic inspection of timing gears and chain.

Not missing a beat, no noises or rattles on startup.

Not the most scientific timing chain assessment I've seen. :) There will always be slight movement. If its not rattling, especially at a cold start, and not pulling the timing far enough out to make EML illuminate or hooking the sprocket teeth then it cant be that bad.
How many miles?
