2006 Vito W639 cutting out under load

Bit of an odd one, but my vito currently cuts out at 2500rpm if any load is put on the engine (driving up hill etc.)
Completely cuts the engine out dead. starts fine, restarts fine and runs fine otherwise.

Any ideas? I've been told it might be the injectors, but that could be just to charge me a stupid amount of money to change them.

any help, gratefully received.

I would be considering the turbo actuator.
Worth checking the turbo vanes are moving freely enough.

yep - turbo vanes are all fine, fixed them all last year

Fault log codes show nothing on a obd2 reader - i need to get it on a STAR machine, but all garages round here are booked up!

Its a 2006 W639 115CDI with about 170000 on the clock

The actuator arm was seized on the turbo and successfully released. That all works fine now.
