Since my ownership began approximately 2 years ago, I have had the following work carried out:
Full service and thorough check over by MB specialist (Scott Autotech), Replaced Alarm Module /Siren, Fitted New front brake calipers, brake hoses, discs and pads, 2 New rear parking sensors, both front bottom ball joints, New rear rubber light covers, New wipers recently.

I would say that the car is in excellent condition and is my pride and joy. I do not really want to sell it as I don’t think I could get a better car for the same kind of money! But Unfortunately I am in need of a more family orientated car now apparently. (XC60/R-Class/ML are the 3 contenders so far). So I must be seen to be making an effort!

It is the later model with the much better and more powerful 5.5 litre M273 V8 coupled with the 7GTronic Flappy paddle box. Also been the later model it is has the normal ABS braking system and not the sometimes problematic SBC. The adjustable AIRmatic suspension makes the ride lovely and soft when cruising and then lower and stiffer for more spirited driving. It really is a joy to drive.

The car has the factory fitted AMG styling pack, Bumpers, skirts, alloys and exhausts. These really do set it apart from a run of the mill 500. I was initially after a 55AMG when I bought this, however I was not prepared to pay £2k for insurance. This is the next best thing. I have learnt to live with ONLY 388hp, I think its more then enough!

The car has been well looked after and maintained. The car is currently sitting on newly powder-coated 18” AMG IV wheels and 4 brand new Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 Tyres. The 19” AMG wheels are available also at extra cost.

On the bodywork there are some stone chips, mainly to the front end and bonnet, which are to expected on a CLS as they seem to just attract stone chips! On the whole the body work is very good and there is no damage or large scratches on the car. I have just had the rear of the boot lid professionally re-painted as the lacquer had started to crack for some reason. Also at the same time I had the inner section of the rear arches rust-proofed and re-painted as they were showing the onset of bubbling and thought best to nip it in the bud now.

Interior is also very good and clean, there is some very slight wear on the drivers seat bolster, not really worth mentioning but I am being as open as possible.
Car has command and also has a Dension Gateway, ipod/usb aux in, inside the glovebox which allows the ipod or usb device to be controlled via command and display song title etc.

I am looking for £10,000.

Only advertised initially on here first and will be on MB owners club forum too.
Please contact me with any questions or to arrange a viewing.

Thanks,
Sam

No Ideal interest so far, on auto trader now,a few phone calls of people wanting to part ex that's all.

Revised price £9k!

Bump! Update!
Just had new front arb drop links, drop link ball joints, track rod ends and a new caster arm on drivers side.(passenger side done previously). Had a knock on the front suspension , cured now.
Obviously had four wheel alignment done also,on hunter system, all OK.

Open to offers

I have seen a car that I would like to purchase so I am open to close offers.

It's not too far away from the part-x offer as it is.

Thread resurrection!

I had little interest at the back end of last year at the price I was after, so decided to keep hold of the car a bit longer. (Didnt really want to let it go to be honest!!)

Now I am moving house and a long commute means I need an estate really, diesel. E320 or similar.
So the CLS is back up for sale.
The car is still as described in the initial advert above with just a few minor points to mention:
  • The Dension gateway mentioned in the initial post has been removed, as it malfunctioned. On reflection after I had removed it I had a feeling it was just a loose connection, however I have not tried to re-fit it yet. Can be provided with sale.
  • Minor problem where the power boot opener does not work. Still pops on the key and button, and power locks, but does not power up and down. I believe this is a broken wire around the hinge mechanism. Common fault I believe.
  • Has had another service.
  • Has had 2 new rear parking sensors.
  • Has had 1 new front tyre.
  • Mileage now just under 86000
  • Will be MOT'd next week as it runs out on 5/6/2018.
I have advertised on AT at £6500 but got lots of scammers and time wasters who clearly didn't have the money.

So offering on here at a bargain price of £5750! Lovely CLS with AMG pack, stands out from the standard 500's.

Final drop to £5100 in hope that it goes to a MB enthusiast before it goes to a car buying website, as that's what I've been offered!!
