Went to get aircon regassed as not blowing really cool air out, informed its leaking. Anyone know of any common places it make leak, they put dye in and said run it for a week come back and will have a look, but I am always one for DIY if its a straight forward job

It can leak at any joint and any at component in the system hence the dye. Buy some UV sensitive glasses and see for yourself where it leaks.
As far as the DIY approach, you'll need to buy a good set of gauges to do this recharge properly after the leak is fixed. Don't use one of those small "recharge" bottles with the dumb gauge on it.
If you have to replace any component, you'll need a vacuum pump to evacuate the system before charging the system with R134a.

The condenser is usually the main culprit of a leak, but, as above, it could be from any of the other components of the system.
I would definitely leave the leak testing to an a/c specialist along with the repair.

I would never attempt to recharge the gas myself, by the time you buy everything you need its not much difference to getting it done properly. The Glasses, thanks I am getting me a pair and maybe see what happens....thank you
