...but it would sound good though!! I think on one of Chris Harris video, he did mentioned the ClS63 have this function.I'm not sure it makes much sense to fire up something this big so often, apart from the manufacturers do this to meet emission target.

The Bi turbos have start stop only, my pending E63 AMG does anyway.
Starting a car uses no more fuel these days. Direct injection just injects in the appropriate cylinder at compression and it fires, not a single drop wasted.
I like SS, looking forward to lots of varrrrompppaahhhhhhbooommmm in traffic in the E63
Just wait till some pedestrians walk behind your car...
YOu might be disappointed when it fires up from stop it doesn't go varrrrompppaahhhhhbooommm unless you gun it which is unlikely in traffic. Really annoying!

The bi-turbo on stop start is a lot more muted than when you fire it up from cold. The bi-turbo is also a lot quieter than the normally aspirated until you get the revs up. That said its still sounds good at low revs just not as good as the c63.
simon1966 said:Agreed c63's sound great, and to me the nicest sounding normal(ish) amg's. I wish my E55 sounded like a C63! To me though the new CLS still sounded nice, maybe because mine is just too muted so I hanker for that raspy V8 growl!
