2015 CLS COMAND Version?

I am wondering what version of COMAND my Facelift 2015 CLS Shooting Brake has? Is it NTG4 something? or NTG5 something.
The Map version is 6.0, would like to know if this is up to date too. It was updated 9 months ago.

Its probably NTG5*1 given the age. But can't be sure without a VIN number. If it has a touchpad, it is NTG5*1

If it is NTG5*1 and it doesn't have CarPlay / Android-Auto, we can retrofit that

Hi Richard, Great answer, and clever of you to read my mind regarding the Android Auto. As I was searching google I found out about Android auto, it is something I definitely would like.. How much please?

I have about 2 weeks of warranty left so was hoping to get the latest map before the end date.

Xant14, Android Auto and Car Play can be retrofitted, takes about 2 hours maybe 2.5, combination of software, hardware, licence and some cables.

Yup, not all NTG5 cars have touchpad, but all cars with touchpad are NTG5 or later if you see what I mean !

Ok I get my car back tomorrow. Is there anywhere I can find out what is the latest Map version? I think mine is a NTG 5.1. The current map is version 6.0. I am looking and it is saying versions are V18... Surely this is a different model to mine.

I will answer my own question. Latest Map is version V8.0. Went to pick my car up and asked if they had updated the map... My car is now 2 years 362 days old so wanted my last free update. They hadn't done the update by the way... but a couple of hours later they have now.
Curious why they say that every service they will check for updates but never do? You have to pester them into it... same thing last time when they wanted to charge me for the update I had to remind them who is responsible for that.

Its not. It is V9.0. The way dealers get the map media changed last year and some are clueless and don't know how to get the latest version which came out late last year. So they claim V8.0 is the latest as thats the last disk they were sent.

We have V9.0 V9.0 can't yet be installed on retrofit cars (you can't generate a paid PIN number) or possibly on cars over 3 years old for the same reason.

They get to claim labour for 3 updates during 3 years. So most dealers will do it only at the 3 services (which sort of makes sense)

Its not hard on NTG5 cars as it loads from USB and is a lot quicker than the 2-3 hours for the NTG2.5/3/3.5/4/4.5/4.7 which come on 2-3 DVDs.

PS, as I had your VIN and was in my local dealership, I had them generate the PIN code for V9.0 for your chassis number, which is now stored against your VIN number. So if the dealer works out how to get the update they can do it without paying for a PIN even if you are over 3 years as MB think V9 should be on your car. (as they would fall over the "can't generate PIN number as car is older than 3 years and database doesn't yet show some info for charging")
