2016 GLA key fob battery replacement error message on dashboard

Hi there I own a 2016 GLA 45AMG,just replaced the battery on my key fob and I still get the same message, "replace batteries in fob"
Please can any one suggest what I can do to clear this message.

No just a cheapish cr25 do you think should get a quality make battery?

I would, I've had a few cheap batteries that never worked, gone back to only buying known makes from reputable sources as there a lot of fakes out there. Check also if you can fit a CR2032 instead of the CR2025.

A CR2025 is 25mm diameter, a 2032 is 32mm diameter.

No it isn’t. They are the same diameter. The 2032 is thicker than the 2025
