Hi,

My brother has 'inherited' a 2017 B-Class. It's very low milage and has full MBSH. Garaged most of its life.

He lives in Germany and it's sub-zero at the moment - he is noticing ice on both the inside of the windscreen in the mornings, which obviously indicates a leak.

Given that the car has seen so little action, is there a common leak location that I'm not aware of with this era B-Class?

He says the carpets aren't wet but from my experience it can be hard to tell in the winter.

Cheers

Possibly just condensation? Had no leaks on our 2013 B Class.

The car has been used recently with the AC on and his other car/no local cars are showing the same signs. I did wonder if the AC needed a re-gas (hard to tell in the winter) and so the AC isn't brining the humidity down, but I think the extent of it is a bit too extreme for a bit of humidity.

In the attached photo, the outside screen is actually clear/scraped, the ice is on the inside.

Hi, I don't know how else to contact you. Have you been solving a problem with the om642 where the car was jerking around 1500rpm at 1/4 throttle.. could you send me a private message?

Hi - it was solved after a gearbox oil service, thankfully.

It might be blocked or partially blocked drain holes. That has (thankfully as relatively easy and cheap fix) always been the case on cars when this has happened to me.
