2017 E class rattle

Hi i have a rattle in my boot which seems to be from the big plastic cover at the back

how can i find out if the part needs clips to hold it down

Its probably clipped in properly. I expect it need some fabric tape in certain places to quieten it down. Get someone to drive it when you are in the boot on a private road and see if you can tell where is it coming from.

Ive had the carpet out and the plasic panel and still ratles anyone had this

Open the boot lid and manually move it up and down in quick succession, you may hear something rattle. My c250 had this chunk of what looked like sealant fall from the boot lock area , I could hear that clanking about everytime I opened my boot.

I was just about to write the same. Check the rear door for rattle or seal failure. It might be worth driving a short distance with the door open to see if it changes the sound.

have you sat in the back while someone else drives to see if you can track the vibration?

Found some under trays loose but still got the rattle is there anything behind the side panels in the boot that could rattle
