2018 S205 Bluetooth question (calls)

Hi All, after 7 years away with Volkswagen, I've returned to MB ownership with a new to me 2018 S205 c250d.

Enjoying the car however I'm unable to make and receive calls with Bluetooth, and wondered if anyone had experienced similar?

I've got the comand NTG 5.0 system (prem plus, burmester, 8.4 inch screen). Phone seems to connect to the car and can make calls, and I can accept them... but only know I'm being called when it shows up on the dash.

There's no sound, and no-one can hear me either.

Car is currently missing its SD card - wondered if this would make a difference?

Car also had a replacement windscreen before I bought it...

Really hoping it's something simple as I'd hate to reject the car for this kind of issue!

Assuming your car is the pre-facelift, them the infotainment unit is COMAND NTG5*2.

The system does not need or use the SD Card slot so it can remain empty.

No idea what the issue is, I'd start with a software update (dealer job).

Another option is that somehow the call volume is down?

Also, have you tried with a different mobile phone, just to be sure?

As for the windscreen replacement, I don't think it should affect anything, even if there was an antenna in the windscreen (which I don't think there is) it shouldn't affect Bluetooth.

Stupid question.... how would I check if the call volume is down?

I've tried increasing the volume whilst the screen shows the phone is dialling out, but no results.

Same happens with both my android Samsung s10e, and work iPhone... so unlikely to be the phone.

I'm nearby to a dealer tomorrow so might wander in (and out sheepishly if it turns out to be user error!!)
