We had a new 250 CDI break down yeaterday with only 78 kms onn the clock .The car was over heating , it looks as though the thermostat is the culprate . Has any one had any issues with this engine and over heating ?
The same car has already gotten a replaced exhaust thempature sensor before if left us .

Sory to hear that - I've had mine for about 3 months now and thankfully no such problems although it does run at 90deg when fully warmed up.

Make sure that the dealer gives you a like for like loan car whilst yours is being repaired.

If I were you I would certainly consider rejecting the car for a refund or a new replacement if you are not happy with it.

thanks for the replys lads ,
The cars not owned by me unfrotunatly , its a car we built in work .
I looked over it today in the work shop and I have confirmed its the thermostate has stuck . Where gonna ship it off the MB and let them sort it .

Ha ha, LOL.

I find it quite amazing that for the smallest mechanical problem posters start calling for a replacement car.
What's even funnier is that Mercedes would probably say..."Replace it after you've cut it in half?...you must be joking..."
