W207 E250 cdi coupe
Hi guys , having returned my car to stock from having had it mapped and Dpf deleted. I got a software update on my 2009 w207 e250 cdi coupe . I have noticed that the car loved doing regens. I was watching the star program . And slowly but surely the ash counter would rise and within 50 miles it would start and as it was doing it the ash level would start to go back down from the 100% to about 15 and it would stop. Is this normal? Is this the new thinking a little and often ? Just curious does anyone know much about it?

feels similar to mine and i have om651 engine
if look at star output doing a regen almost every time the ignition is on - just doesn't seem right and is flagging EML as well

Yes mine is the om651 engine also. It appears to start doing a regen every 60 miles or less. I can see the intake valve shut to 96% and then can hear the exhaust note change as the temperatures start rising. It's odd as the differential pressure sensor is reading at 0.02 and back pressure is only around 1.0 bar . Hardly blocked so I'm wondering is it the cars way of just a little and often in this new software?

Not sure on software; mine is going to the garage Friday to look some more at it all day
Have changed the sensors before & after turbo based on the p2080 eml I keep getting.
Doesn't seem to affect driving or mpg or anything either so not sure what is happening, but starting to be annoying.

my dpf was at 95% full when first flagged and a few 3rd gear drives and was down to 4% so well chuffed with that and within 10days was at 48% again which seems full rather quick; but not sure if normal or not?
