I'm not sure if this has been posted before but it's awesome.

Acabion

700 Bhp
2 seats
290 Mph
1000 mile range at 125 Mph

And a quote from the website that's enough to make you ill.

"they will pave the way for our stage 2: Electric road streamliners for everybody from 2009 onwards, achieving 150 mph in 2009, 250 mph in 2012, 350 mph in 2016 and 450 mph in 2020"

Can't see the link - blocked from work due to redirection protocols, but from the sounds of it I could do with one of those. I've been a twit and left my lap top at home on a day when I needed it with me - bugger!

Well pammy, it looks quite smart and very shiny :D

I hope the stabilizing wheels are just to aid parking, I wouldn't want to rely on them at 290mph  :D

Why didnt they sacrifice some of the speed for even more fuel savings. Once the capability reaches insane levels of economy the cost of the vehicle is recovered very quickly.

No internal shots makes me wonder if it actually runs. No dash photos ????

The cost must be insane given it is made from aircraft aluminium.

I wonder if it is on u-tube ? I bet the 0-100km/h must really suck if they only talk about top speed.

Blimey - I'd not a lot of convincing before I got into that - that it was safe at those speeds or even normal speeds

I've done over 500MPH before...!!!!

I was a passenger on a Boeing 777...:p :D

300mph in what looks like a motorcycle with a bodykit and stabilisers looks a bit iffy to me. But hell I'd give it ago ;)

Perfectly safe. Didn't you ever see Tron?

Cheers,

Gaz.

I'd need a lot of convincing that this machine has 700HP.

Even with 700bhp, there isnt a bike tyre that'll cope with 290mph in existance. Interesting concept though. Very similar to the Peraves.

I saw this vehicle on a bike show yesterday morning hosted by VBH. Looked like a rickety pile of crap to me!

The peraves is about 15 years old - not a new concept.
