40% off parts for 6yr+ cars at Mercedes?

Im off to Mercedes today to pickup some brake pads for the 280. I was wondering whats this about 40% off parts if your car is over 6 years old? Does this apply to all dealers? Also, I have bought many parts from Mercedes in the past, do they take the discount off the price already when quoted with the VIN or do you have to ask.

Discounts are left up to the individual dealers and vary greatly across the country .

Some people order parts from dealers in Germany where list prices on parts are actually much lower and even after postage there is still a saving .

The discount I get from Tony Purslow is 40% off labour, and 10% off parts.

Discount depends on the individual dealer or group ... there's no overall M-B policy AFAIK.
