4Matic in the UK?

Was just wondering if anyone knew if we in the UK were going to be able to get 4Matic on new E Classes like they sell in the US?

I have a vaguely recall reading something on this. I dont think they were going to bring the 4 matic over here and MB were being criticised for it as they dont have anything to compete with the audi 4wd thing.... MB's logic is that 4wd estate cars have never sold well for them in the uk?

I could be wrong tho...
