A class grinding noise

Hope I have posted in the right place. Has anyone on here suffered with the following. SWMBO 's A class has developed a grinding noise coming from the rear near side on the first left hand turn first thing in the morning, after that all is OK until the next morning. Have taken it into two MB dealers both say that they can't find a problem (surprise,surprise) Anyone else had the same, need help as I am getting a lot of grief from her in doors. She thinks it will blow up any minute. Thanks

Which model A-class?

Pre-facelift W168s could suffer from broken/cracked rear springs (mounting was modified later). If later and has rear discs, could be pad / shoe sticking on, which might be more likely if car parked outside, especially if wet. Bushes failing?
