A class radiator fan not working

A160 w reg 2000 pre facelift radiator fan not working. Its not the fuse. Any suggestions?

For a start check the water level. If it's low it won't be detecting the temperature.

Check the connections to the fan and radiator thermostat are good.

I am not familiar with the A Class but................assuming your water level is OK, then:

Locate the fan sensor, disconnect the harness plug to it and then bridge the connection in the harness side and turn the ignitition on. If the fan runs the sensor is duff and requires to be replaced, if it does not run the problem is in the fan itself - either loose wire, bad ground or duff motor.

It turned out to be a siezed motor cured by dismantling, cleaning and rebuilding. Many thanks for your troubleshooting advice,
