A little ticking noise OM642

Our ML350 is making a ticking noise at times on idle and it goes away once you pass 1500rpm. I’ve searched the various forums and suggestions include a leaking injector or timing chain or a bearing, such fun on a car worth £5k or thereabouts.

As a starter for 10 I’m going to do an engine flush and oil change and examine the old filter in case it shows any signs, wish me luck, a trip to the Merc specialist may follow.

Seems I have the least of 3 problems, two injectors are leaking and need to be sorted. Did an oil change and no foreign bodies in the filter. Time to call the Merc specialist and open my wallet and say aaaah.
