My Mrs has a 2007 A169 (standard radio/cd) is it a direct swap for the later standard radio (with bluetooth and the nicer screen) or is there a difference in the wiring etc....she would like to keep it original-looking but have integrated bluetooth and steering wheel control of her phone.

cheers

Sorry if I didn't make myself clear but I just mean switching from old audio20 to the newer one (with bluetooth integrated) not changeing to hard disk/command etc , Yes I know I'll need to add the BT antenna and microphone but by swapping the head units, will it all work without needing to have the car recoded?

The above kit is needed to retrofit any NTG2.5 based unit be it Audio 20, Audio 50 or Comand, so you need the other bits in the kit shown on the link too as well as the microphone and bluetooth antenna for it work correctly.

The kit consists of: -
Microphone & velcro
FM/AM antenna/splitter adapter
Bluetooth antenna
FM power connection
AUX input shell (to re-wire AUX input)

It doesnt need coding if you already have phone pre-wire as the steering control are already activated.

With no phone pre-wire the steering buttons for the phone will only work when you get an incoming call. To have them working fully you will need to get them activated via STAR.

Thanks for your insight and knowledge :thumb:
