A90 truck crash

I can just see a white rectangle where I presume there should be a video clip ?

Me four, I assumed it must have been foggy when filmed.;)

Yikes.

Very lucky to be alive. Would love to know what they were doing in the first place.

I know the junction well, its very hard to get onto the wrong side of the dual carriage way as the way the turns are on the roundabout before it, plus the big no entry sign. There is an oncoming truck before she merges onto the oncoming traffic, surely that would be a sign to brake?

When the lorry rolls over the driver is in real real danger as can be thrown from cab etc. Certainly it could have crossed onto the other carriageway with dire consequences.

There is a short section of dual carriageway on the A590 at Newby Bridge. On the elevated west bound side I have met drivers coming the wrong way on two occasions in the last 25 years. I think the reason is that halfway along the very short stretch there is a layby. I think tourists or strangers to the area pull in to check maps etc... realise that they have gone too far for the Windermere or Lakeside turn-offs. Then, because the section of road is elevated in a terrace style from the other side and also separated by trees they think they are still on single carriageway. They then do a 'U' turn and drive back out the wrong way. If I've seen myself twice then it most likely happens quite regularly. Very scary!

Im going to guess it was the unsecured load in the wagon that caused it to roll.

No cargo straps of curtains evident in any of the images and the steering axel is intact with inflated tyres.

Very dramatic footage, cab cam is a great idea for major road users I feel.

The lorry wheel did ride up over the car as well, which induced the roll. It was a curtain sided trailer so restrained to some degree.

Lummy. That was some wreck. Glad no one died. Anybody any idea what the cargo was the lorry was carrying.

Edit. DM beat me to it with the press cutting.

found another video... *** Use quote to see how to embed.. ;)

The Corsa survived very well indeed.
