Can anyone recommend a rebuild kit supplier for the and pump on my 07 s65?

You need to speak to @m2287 he’s an expert on ABC Suspension

Someone in Poland overhauls these and gives 2 year warranty, exchange pump needed, charged for until you return your old pump.

Some people have had issues with the eBay ‘refurbs’ from Eastern Europe. Much safer to get from MB, and very little price difference for the peace of mind.

I get that reckon units are about and not that badly priced but it's just a pump and were only really talking about less than £10 worth of seals at the end of the day.

I've got the kit and the time. And I love mending things as a pose to just changing a part.

If I can track down a rebuild kit for less than £100 it's a no brainer.

If it goes tits up I'll get a second unit.

By far the hardest part of the rebuild is getting the pulley off the pump, we had to heat it up massively and use a 45 tonne pneumatic press on one occasion!

Perfect I'll.give them a go.

As you have been touted as the and expert I hope you don't mind if I ask your opinion on my fault?

My pump dosnt leak. The car works fine. However after driving for an hour or so and then stopping and restarting I get an abc warning. It comes back as "fault in pressure supply"

When ever I check it's running at between 180-187 bar.

It will rodeo but pauses half way as pressure drops to about 130 bar and takes a few mins to recover.

My best guess is week pump but I guess it could also be accumulators?

I have an oxy torch and a 30t press so fingers crossed should be ok.

I take it the warning is in red and doesn’t go away?

If it is and there is no obvious signs of a leak on the struts/pipes/valve blocks then I’d say one of the seals has gone in your pump.

Use a syringe to put as much fluid into the pump as you can before connecting the lines (makes it easier to prime). I’d also flush the fluid before replacing the pump if you can then flush it straight after.

No it's an orange warning. It has no effect on the car at all and clears if you press ok.

If you only short trips it's fine no error.
It only comes up after a long ish drive and only when you stop and restart the car.

Sorry just realised you have a w221, I’m not 100% but guess the system is very similar to the w220.

It could even be a dud accumulator, on the 220/215 this would quickly flash up a red ABC message when you went over a speed bump but it would then go away.

The warning is always orange and never when your driving only on start up after a longer drive.

The odd thing is that if you clear the error then stop and restart most of the time it won't come up again

Strange, I’ve seen issues with the level sensors, first port of call would probably be to make sure they are clean and lubricated. If they give a false reading then the ECU can get confused.

It did have a fault on the rear right level sensor.

It was giving a fault code and was replaced which cleared the code. But the intermittent pressure related code remains.

However I've not had the level recalibrate
And the back looks a little high. Is it worth getting it calibrated before doing anything else

Yes definitely, especially if it looks higher than it was previously.

Time to find a east mids specialist then as my kit can't do it.
