Got another red "ABC drive slowly" or some such warning last week, after parking up on a kerb for 5 minutes, took it into MB Hamilton.
STAR says "low pressure" so they have ordered a new pump under warranty (tier 2)
Does this sound right?
Only 1 pump to replace?
How often do these pumps go?
Should I automatically get new oil/filters with this?
Thanks, Colin.

The pumps can leak very slowly and be difficult to detect - effect can be the suspension lowering with no/limited amounts of oil deposited on the ground - so sounds about right (and if they'll replace under warranty go for it!)

I had one done about 3 years ago at about 60k - making the car 6 years old at the time - they are a common problem but not sure if they have a definite life expectancy or if it's just luck

I will have a look to see if they replaced the filters (you will get oil I presume) when I am next back home - but that won't be for a few says yet

Spoke to MB Hamilton today who told me the filter and fluid will be changed at the same time as the pump...result!
Colin.
