Got an ABC red warning not to drive the car a week ago. Tried rodeo'ing it but wouldn't clear. Rear N/s stayed high forcing the front of the car to appear low. Front wheels rubbed on the wheel arches when lock to lock turning.
Took a hard look from underneath and found the "Level Sensor" moving arm had snapped clean in half. A new one is £12 from main dealer.
Took it to my Indy and he found that the STAR flagged up the actual level sensor sender unit also (£78), a small black box attached to the level sensor moving arm. Replaced both and voila, car back to normal. PHEW!!!

For information.

They get super stiff before they fail, that, coupled with a rusty rod. Something has to go (in this case the link snapped in half, probably as the sensor seized.
