Accident Repair Estate boot door seals

Had my W213 Estate repaired by main dealer, and the door seals were finished as per this picture. The dealer said this is normal and within MB standards. Are they correct? Would MD consider this acceptable?

I assume that's Tiger Seal and that it has been applied by a 4 year old.
Will it do the job? Yes.
Does it look completely rubbish? Yes.
Does it meet MB standards? Nothing would surprise me.

In the interests of balance, it's not just MB. This was a similarly 'acceptable' job of seam sealing done to a forum member's car on another motoring forum I frequent; can you spot where the factory sealant stops and the repair sealant starts?

What would you expect from w@nkers doing such poor repairjobs?
