I have a very annoying problem, I have a bar at the top of my page that says
" Internet Explorer is currently running with add-ons disabled"

But I can't get rid of it, every new page I open it is there, it says to go to Tools, then Manage Add Ons and change your options there but Manage Add Ons is not clickable, it is light grey as if it's not an option. Hope you understand what I mean!

I have no idea why it popped up in the first place either.

Help!

If havent done try a reboot, if does same then I would goto tools - internet options, and reset all options back to defaults and each page also do spyware check ie download spybot seach & destroy(free), if have recently installed/downloaded something backtrace steps and remove.

c how that lot goes

EDIT.

Ignore my rubbish, I didn't read your post fully....

Gina,

Check this page out, it is a Microsoft page so legit:

http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/Windows/en-US/help/e85a03aa-c7c6-428e-9891-67ea76df9b7e1033.mspx

As far as I can tell the default is switched on, your message is saying switched off - re-boot shoud re-enable. The message shouldn't be causing a problem per se, possibly some add- ons could cause grief, again this is covered in the Microsoft page, Just read the page fully(!) Check the third item "How do I manage add-ons if the menu item is dimmed?"

Just love Microsoft

Or..... download Opera or Firefox.

Cheers people, shall have a go.....! And let you know....!

Done it! :D

I looked at the website and I got confused, couldn't find right thing on my comp, anyway, rather than clicking on the blue "e" on my desktop I had to go through Start menu etc etc, and now it's gone! Great, it was really starting to irritate me!

Thanks for the help guys!
