advice on insurance company

hi guys, looking at this company here

First Car Direct • First Car Direct

they gave me a quote for my car insurance this year of nearly £250 cheaper than anywhere else.

the problem is, my gut instinct is telling me theres something not right here,

1 - its too good to be believed

2 - i cant find any information out about this company on google

3 - even when i put te phone number into google it doesnt relate to this company

4 - the fsa number shown on their site relates to something called "risk insurance and reinsurance solutions" located in paris, france.

anyone on here heard of this company?

just want advice whether to stay well away or not.

I think by the wary nature you have approached this, you've already answered your own question. Non-UK intermediaries have different client money banking and risk transfer regulations.

IIRC, there's a member on this forum who represents Adrian Flux, and who may be able to point you in the right direction.
