He thought he didn't have it because he couldn't find the option. I've just confirmed it.

Apologies, I've probably taken your comment out of context which is easy to do. I did see his comment about not having it, but when he responded with his VIN I assumed he still wanted it checking for definite answer. At least if anyone else reads this thread with a similar question, they now know what option code to look for.

Ok so ambient lighting is always on and even gives you an animated welcome when entering the vehicle..

I think ambient lighting specifically on the a class models is quite subtle compared to other models because you don't get too much lighting e.g footwells and door cards/speakers so not disco like which is a good thing..
