Don't think it could have sold, and that was last summer! Unless of course the pictures (which I remember) have been re-used by another owner.

What are these 260 engines like? Reliable? Thirsty? I know they're 'old money' engines and I don't remember them being the most popular choice in the 124, or am I mistaken.

I had a 190e with this engine.

Bit gutless and ok on juice. IIRC I got 30ish on a run and low 20s urban driving.

Smooth - mine had over 200k on it and it was still going strong when I got rid.

Smoooothhh engine. Bomb proof mechanicals. Simpler electronics than the later 280 and 320 models, so easier to maintain by the home mechanic.

Strikes me as a nice motor.
