Aint it cool?..........

I guess the yanks have vast distances of poor roads? Can be the only explanation.

Well , when youve got to spend $4.99 on a car bra , or $600 on a hood respray .... hmm , wonder what makes more sense :)

Have to agree with Fuzzer on this one.
You would look silly if you were the only one with a car-bra but around Vail where we go skiing everyone seems to have one fitted so it's gotta be the cheaper option.

They are designed to cover all bumper from 1000's of files etc in the summer

Now if you find anyone in the UK with one, that's different!

It's taken 89,000 miles of tailgating on the UK's motorways to get my bonnet as pitted as it is and it's not that bad from a few feet away, so anyone who needs a car bra in the UK must be special.

Unless you are Koolvin on your way to a GTG with clingfilm on!

Quite a common sight where roads are poor.

Also in some parts road treatment in winter months tends to be grit. This compacts into the snow & ice and improves traction.

When the snow melts you end up with grit covered roads and it takes a while to clear.

Yes they look horrible and nobody thinks otherwise, but function defines form. Rather stick a horrible looking protector on than pay for a respray.

3M make a transparent film which does much the same thing but not so easy to get off!

This answers your question.

Car Bras

At 55mph in the states you shouldn't need one.
