RHD 2004 E55 Japan model. Never seen road salt. Mint. Amazing PM from previous two owners.

Sanity check.

 Ok so I changed the rear airbags to new Arnotts. Turned on car no automatic fill. Found a fuse. Changed, turned car on all air bags raised automatically. Yea! (No Ebay purchases from Asia.)

But the dash indicator with up arrow on the display? Car is up drives nice no leaks all happy. Dash up arrow with car still there? Check for codes. (Foxwell 510 elite). No codes. Only AC needs a recharge.

Changed the rear level sensor, changed airmatic valve block. No Change. Purchased a used Airmatic module same part number. Put that in. No change Still up arrow.

UP switch on shift console goes immediately red when you turn the car on and will not flash. You can turn off the switch and the light goes out but never flashes. It never did this before I changed the airbags.

I only changed the rear air bags because the dust boots had worn and were allowing dirt into the original airbags. Before that I had never seen this up arrow on the dash before. The airmatic system worked perfectly. Still does but can't live with this indicator saying malfunction.

Wakeup function through scanner looks turned off. Can't seem to turn it on? It's supposed to be on correct?

May be silly, but everything may need a reset? could you disconnect the batteries for a while then re-connect?

Thanks, Thats not silly. I just disconnected both batteries. Touching leads together Waited 20 minutes. No change.

Plugged in my Foxwell 510 Elite scanner and turned on the power to the solenoid valves in front struts and rear airbags. Voltage showing up at .485 MV. Don't know why they were turned off.

Also raised pressure in system to 8.02 BAR. All four wheels sitting at this BAR. Is that high enough or too high (116 PSI)? Can't seem to find a number. Front wheels -.7mm. rear -.11 mm Level

I have no error codes on anything in the airmatic module.
Correct voltage showing in all 3 level sensors.

I have to look at the Wake up Process again as it looks like its turned off and I think it should be turned on as No usual reaction from anything when I open the drivers door other than interior lights turn on. This also worked fine before I changed the rear airbags.

Also will look again at solenoid for rear air tank.
All four wheels staying at height overnight seemingly no loss of air. Drove 60 KMS yesterday. Car rode fine.

I am obviously missing something. I did order an new pressure release valve and new MB airmatic relay.

Really sad when you break a perfectly good car.
